Blue Light Police Challenge

Blue Light Police Challenge:
The Blue Light Police is a competition only for year 7&8 boys and girls. Blue Light is a physical competency test where all teams must be made up of 2 boys and 2 girls. It is the same physical test police must undertake as part of their training. Therefore, the children participating in the event must be of moderate to high level athletic ability.

Blue Light Canterbury Schools PCT Competition at Cowles Stadium, Wainoni.

Training: Specific circuit training is held at school throughout lunchtimes leading up to the event.

Uniform and Equipment: Students will compete in a school singlet or t-shirt which is provided and blue shorts.

2017 Result:
Year 7&8 Girls – 11th, with a time of 2:56:10

Our team competed in great spirit and fair play at this years annual Blue Light Police Challenge competition. Out of 37 teams competing in the morning competition Burnham came 11th. This was a huge effort considering we only have a very small amount of students to select from. The team was:
Year 7&8 Girls – Milla, Myah, Sydney, Raikyn, Bradley.
